Forskarna fann dock att sk\u00e4rmanv\u00e4ndning under de tv\u00e5 timmarna f\u00f6re s\u00e4ngg\u00e5endet hade liten effekt p\u00e5 ungdomarnas s\u00f6mn, medan sk\u00e4rmanv\u00e4ndning efter s\u00e4ngg\u00e5endet orsakade problem. Huvudf\u00f6rfattaren till studien, Dr Bradley Brosnan vid Edgar Diabetes and Obesity Research Centre, f\u00f6rklarar att sk\u00e4rmanv\u00e4ndning \u00e4r en integrerad del av ungdomars <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/syncing-class-times-to-circadian-rhythms-could-improve-school-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00f6mnm\u00f6nster<\/a> och att s\u00f6mnriktlinjerna m\u00e5ste omv\u00e4rderas f\u00f6r att b\u00e4ttre passa det moderna livet.<\/p>\n<h2>Sk\u00e4rmanv\u00e4ndning efter l\u00e4ggdags \u00e4r avg\u00f6rande<\/h2>\n<p>I studien som publicerades i tidskriften <em>JAMA Pediatrics<\/em> bar 85 ungdomar i \u00e5ldrarna 11-14 \u00e5r en kroppskamera p\u00e5 br\u00f6stet under en vecka, tre timmar f\u00f6re s\u00e4ngg\u00e5endet tills de gick och lade sig.<br \/>\nF\u00f6rutom kroppskameran, som registrerade n\u00e4r, vad och hur de anv\u00e4nde sina sk\u00e4rmar, placerades en andra infrar\u00f6d kamera i deras sovrum f\u00f6r att registrera deras sk\u00e4rmtid i s\u00e4ngen.<br \/>\nDe bar ocks\u00e5 en aktigraf, en klockstor enhet som m\u00e4ter s\u00f6mn. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-64039 size-medium\" title=\"wer\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"wer\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Enligt Brosnan stod det snabbt klart att ton\u00e5ringarna tillbringar en stor del av sin sk\u00e4rmtid i s\u00e4ngen.<\/p>\n<p>Forskarna fann att 99 procent av deltagarna anv\u00e4nde sk\u00e4rmar under de tv\u00e5 timmarna f\u00f6re s\u00e4ngg\u00e5endet, mer \u00e4n h\u00e4lften anv\u00e4nde sk\u00e4rmar n\u00e4r de hade lagt sig och en tredjedel anv\u00e4nde dem efter att de f\u00f6rst hade f\u00f6rs\u00f6kt somna. De mest intressanta resultaten var att sk\u00e4rmtiden f\u00f6re s\u00e4ngg\u00e5endet hade liten effekt p\u00e5 s\u00f6mnen under natten. D\u00e4remot p\u00e5verkade sk\u00e4rmanv\u00e4ndningen efter l\u00e4ggdags s\u00f6mnen &#8211; den hindrade ton\u00e5ringarna fr\u00e5n att somna i ungef\u00e4r en halvtimme och f\u00f6rkortade s\u00f6mntiden p\u00e5 natten.<\/p>\n<p>Detta g\u00e4llde s\u00e4rskilt f\u00f6r interaktiva sk\u00e4rmaktiviteter som spel och multitasking, dvs. anv\u00e4ndning av flera enheter samtidigt, t.ex. att titta p\u00e5 en film p\u00e5 Netflix p\u00e5 en b\u00e4rbar dator och spela Xbox p\u00e5 en spelkonsol. &#8221;Varje ytterligare 10 minuters sk\u00e4rmaktivitet av den h\u00e4r typen minskade <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/sleep-timing-vs-sleep-length-which-matters-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00f6mntiden<\/a> p\u00e5 natten med n\u00e4stan lika mycket.<\/p>\n<p>Resultaten tyder p\u00e5 att sk\u00e4rmtidens inverkan p\u00e5 s\u00f6mnen fr\u00e4mst sker genom en temporal f\u00f6rskjutning som f\u00f6rdr\u00f6jer s\u00f6mnens b\u00f6rjan, snarare \u00e4n direkta effekter av bl\u00e5tt ljus eller interaktivt engagemang, eftersom vi inte fann n\u00e5gra samband med s\u00f6mnlatens och vakenhet under s\u00f6mnperioden. Dr Brosnan s\u00e4ger att en &#8221;enkel&#8221; s\u00f6mnriktlinje &#8211; i teorin, men inte n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndigtvis i verkligheten &#8211; skulle vara att h\u00e5lla <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/exposure-to-devices-blue-light-damages-skin-heres-how\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enheter<\/a> borta fr\u00e5n sovrummet och l\u00e5ta ton\u00e5ringar anv\u00e4nda sina enheter f\u00f6re s\u00e4ngg\u00e5endet, men inte i s\u00e4ngen.<\/p>\n<h2>Mobiltelefoner och hj\u00e4rt- och k\u00e4rlsjukdomar<\/h2>\n<p>Annan forskning g\u00e5r \u00e4nnu l\u00e4ngre och tyder p\u00e5 att regelbunden anv\u00e4ndning av <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/its-bad-to-use-your-cell-phone-before-bed-heres-why\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mobiltelefoner<\/a> orsakar h\u00e4lsoproblem, till exempel \u00f6kad risk f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdomar, s\u00e4rskilt hos r\u00f6kare och diabetiker. Dessutom har denna koppling delvis associerats med d\u00e5lig s\u00f6mn, psykologisk stress och neuroticism. I <a href=\"https:\/\/linkinghub.elsevier.com\/retrieve\/pii\/S0828282X24004379\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">artikeln<\/a> i <em>Canadian Journal of Cardiology<\/em>, som publiceras av Elsevier, beskrivs resultaten av denna storskaliga prospektiva kohortstudie. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/qqq.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-64057 size-medium\" title=\"qqq\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/qqq-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"qqq\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/qqq-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/qqq.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dr Yanjun Zhang, Department of Nephrology, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, Kina, f\u00f6rklarar: &#8221;Anv\u00e4ndning av mobiltelefoner \u00e4r n\u00e5got som f\u00f6rekommer \u00f6verallt i det moderna samh\u00e4llet, s\u00e5 att studera dess effekter p\u00e5 h\u00e4lsan \u00e4r av stort v\u00e4rde f\u00f6r folkh\u00e4lsan. Radiofrekventa elektromagnetiska f\u00e4lt (RF-EMF) som avges fr\u00e5n mobiltelefoner leder till dysreglering av hypotalamus-hypofys-binjureaxeln, inflammatoriska reaktioner och oxidativ stress, och kan d\u00e4rf\u00f6r f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntas p\u00e5verka ett antal organ som hj\u00e4rta och blodk\u00e4rl.<\/p>\n<p>Det \u00e4r dock fortfarande os\u00e4kert om anv\u00e4ndning av mobiltelefoner \u00e4r f\u00f6rknippat med risken f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdom. Forskarnas syfte var att bed\u00f6ma det prospektiva sambandet mellan regelbunden anv\u00e4ndning av mobiltelefon och f\u00f6rekomsten av <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/examining-the-relationship-between-insomnia-and-heart-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hj\u00e4rt-<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/sleep-changes-during-pregnancy-linked-to-depression-anxiety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">och<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/examining-the-relationship-between-insomnia-and-heart-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">k\u00e4rlsjukdomar<\/a> samt att unders\u00f6ka de f\u00f6rmedlande effekterna av <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/sleep-changes-during-pregnancy-linked-to-depression-anxiety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00f6mn och psykisk h\u00e4lsa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Forskarna fann att regelbundna mobiltelefonanv\u00e4ndare hade en signifikant h\u00f6gre risk f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdom j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med oregelbundna anv\u00e4ndare. Forskarna fann att s\u00f6mnbeteende, psykologisk stress och neuroticism kan vara potentiella mekanismer f\u00f6r sambandet mellan mobiltelefonanv\u00e4ndning och hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdom. D\u00e5ligt s\u00f6mnbeteende och psykisk oh\u00e4lsa kan p\u00e5verka utvecklingen av hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdom negativt genom st\u00f6rd dygnsrytm, hormonella och <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/researchers-identify-promising-proteins-for-the-treatment-of-metabolic-diseases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">metaboliska<\/a> st\u00f6rningar samt \u00f6kad inflammation. Dessutom kan kronisk exponering f\u00f6r RF-EMF-str\u00e5lning fr\u00e5n mobiltelefoner leda till oxidativ stress och inflammatoriska reaktioner.<\/p>\n<p>Exponering f\u00f6r RF-EMF-str\u00e5lning fr\u00e5n mobiltelefoner i kombination med r\u00f6kning och diabetes kan d\u00e4rf\u00f6r ha en synergistisk effekt som \u00f6kar risken f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdom. I en medf\u00f6ljande redaktionell artikel ges en bakgrund till studiens resultat. Med tanke p\u00e5 att rekryteringsf\u00f6nstret f\u00f6r denna studie (2006-2010) f\u00f6regick den utbredda anv\u00e4ndningen av moderna smartphones, som nu oftare anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r andra aktiviteter (t.ex. underh\u00e5llning, textmeddelanden\/e-post, sociala n\u00e4tverk etc.), m\u00e5ste generaliserbarheten och den aktuella relevansen av dessa resultat noga \u00f6verv\u00e4gas.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Grubic, MSc, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, ON, Kanada, \u00e4r medf\u00f6rfattare till ledarartikeln. Enligt Grubic tyder den aktuella studien p\u00e5 att mobiltelefonanv\u00e4ndning kan \u00f6ka risken f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlsjukdom n\u00e5got, men det beh\u00f6vs mer \u00f6vertygande bevis med giltiga m\u00e5tt p\u00e5 mobiltelefonanv\u00e4ndning innan detta samband blir en angel\u00e4genhet f\u00f6r allm\u00e4nheten.
