Les personnes souffrant de troubles de l&rsquo;alimentation ressentent souvent de la honte, de l&rsquo;isolement et sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 la stigmatisation. L&rsquo;anorexie mentale est une maladie courante qui touche plus de femmes que d&rsquo;hommes. Les personnes concern\u00e9es mangent tr\u00e8s peu, ce qui peut entra\u00eener de graves sympt\u00f4mes de carence physique et des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 au fil du temps. En fait, l&rsquo;anorexie est associ\u00e9e aux taux de mortalit\u00e9 et de suicide les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Par rapport aux femmes en bonne sant\u00e9, celles qui souffrent d&rsquo;anorexie ont jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 12 fois plus de risques de mourir, toutes causes confondues, au cours de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode, et environ 57 fois plus de risques de mourir par suicide.<\/p>\n<p>Des recherches ant\u00e9rieures sugg\u00e8rent un lien possible entre les troubles de l&rsquo;alimentation et l&rsquo;horloge interne du corps, l&rsquo;horloge circadienne, qui contr\u00f4le une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de fonctions biologiques telles que le sommeil et affecte presque tous les organes du corps. Cette \u00e9tude visait \u00e0 mieux comprendre ce lien en examinant les g\u00e8nes associ\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;anorexie mentale, \u00e0 l&rsquo;horloge circadienne et \u00e0 plusieurs caract\u00e9ristiques du sommeil, dont l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/researchers-uncover-5-types-of-insomnia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">insomnie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Les personnes qui se l\u00e8vent t\u00f4t sont plus susceptibles de souffrir d&rsquo;anorexie<\/h2>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont utilis\u00e9 une m\u00e9thode statistique appel\u00e9e randomisation mend\u00e9lienne pour \u00e9tudier la fa\u00e7on dont les g\u00e8nes associ\u00e9s \u00e0 un trait particulier affectent d&rsquo;autres traits d&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat. Par exemple, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude des habitudes de sommeil des personnes pr\u00e9sentant des diff\u00e9rences g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui augmentent la probabilit\u00e9 de souffrir d&rsquo;anorexie mentale fournit des preuves du lien entre l&rsquo;anorexie mentale et le sommeil. Les chercheurs ont constat\u00e9 une relation r\u00e9ciproque entre les g\u00e8nes associ\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;anorexie mentale et les g\u00e8nes li\u00e9s au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/investigating-the-genetic-link-between-personality-and-chronotype\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chronotype matinal<\/a> (se lever t\u00f4t et se coucher t\u00f4t).<\/p>\n<p>En d&rsquo;autres termes, les r\u00e9sultats sugg\u00e8rent que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/what-is-my-chronotype-early-bird-night-owl-or-somewhere-in-between\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">les personnes qui se l\u00e8vent t\u00f4t<\/a> courent un risque accru d&rsquo;anorexie mentale et que la maladie pourrait les inciter \u00e0 se lever plus t\u00f4t. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe a \u00e9galement trouv\u00e9 un lien entre l&rsquo;anorexie mentale et l&rsquo;insomnie. Les possibilit\u00e9s de traitement de l&rsquo;anorexie mentale sont limit\u00e9es et les traitements actuels pr\u00e9sentent des taux de rechute de 52 %. En outre, la cause de la maladie n&rsquo;est toujours pas claire. L&rsquo;anorexie mentale ayant le deuxi\u00e8me taux de mortalit\u00e9 le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 parmi les troubles psychiatriques, il est urgent de poursuivre les recherches sur de nouvelles strat\u00e9gies de pr\u00e9vention et de nouveaux traitements. Les r\u00e9sultats de la recherche actuelle pourraient annoncer de futures investigations sur les th\u00e9rapies bas\u00e9es sur le rythme circadien pour traiter et pr\u00e9venir l&rsquo;anorexie.<\/p>\n<p>La <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/27914473\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">th\u00e9rapie cognitivo-comportementale<\/a> am\u00e9lior\u00e9e constitue actuellement un traitement psychologique particuli\u00e8rement prometteur. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9 qu&rsquo;un nombre remarquable de personnes ayant suivi le traitement ont \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de maintenir leurs acquis cinq ans apr\u00e8s le traitement. Toutefois, le principal facteur pr\u00e9dictif d&rsquo;une issue positive dans l&rsquo;anorexie est la d\u00e9tection et l&rsquo;intervention pr\u00e9coces.
