Plus d&rsquo;un milliard de personnes sont ob\u00e8ses dans le monde. L&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 comporte d&rsquo;\u00e9normes risques pour la sant\u00e9 et est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un risque accru de d\u00e9velopper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health\/obesity-facts#3.-Obesity-is-linked-to-more-than-60-chronic-diseases.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plus de 60 maladies<\/a>, dont les maladies cardiovasculaires, le diab\u00e8te de type 2 et le cancer. Comme le notent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cell.com\/cell-metabolism\/fulltext\/S1550-4131(22)00397-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">les chercheurs<\/a>, les moyens les plus courants de traiter l&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 &#8211; r\u00e9duire l&rsquo;apport calorique, augmenter l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 physique pour br\u00fbler plus de calories ou une combinaison des deux &#8211; sont souvent moins efficaces que pr\u00e9vu, entra\u00eenant une perte de poids lente \u00e0 se mat\u00e9rialiser et qui ne dure pas sur le long terme. Les chercheurs expliquent que cela est d\u00fb au fait que de nombreux autres facteurs entrent en jeu. Des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S1931524414001765\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recherches ant\u00e9rieures<\/a> ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 provoque en fait des changements dans le syst\u00e8me m\u00e9tabolique qui peuvent entra\u00eener une dysr\u00e9gulation et nuire \u00e0 son fonctionnement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, pour r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 isoler certains des m\u00e9canismes qui relient le fait de manger tard \u00e0 un risque accru de devenir ob\u00e8se, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude devait \u00eatre rigoureusement contr\u00f4l\u00e9e. Si le fait de manger tard ou le soir est <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC6322536\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">depuis longtemps associ\u00e9<\/a> \u00e0 une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennmedicine.org\/news\/news-releases\/2017\/june\/timing-meals-later-at-night-can-cause-weight-gain-and-impair-fat-metabolism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prise de poids<\/a> et \u00e0 une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national\/health-science\/why-eating-late-at-night-may-be-particularly-bad-for-you-and-your-diet\/2015\/08\/24\/ad8b85ac-2583-11e5-b77f-eb13a215f593_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plus grande difficult\u00e9 \u00e0<\/a> perdre du poids, les scientifiques s&rsquo;efforcent encore de mieux comprendre les m\u00e9canismes en jeu.<\/p>\n<p>Pour cette \u00e9tude, les chercheurs ont examin\u00e9 comment le moment de la prise alimentaire pouvait influencer le risque d&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s tout, il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un facteur facilement ajustable, \u00e0 la port\u00e9e de la plupart des gens, et qui pourrait avoir une r\u00e9elle valeur pratique pour les personnes confront\u00e9es \u00e0 ce probl\u00e8me de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a port\u00e9 sur 16 personnes en surpoids ou ob\u00e8ses, selon l&rsquo;indice de masse corporelle (IMC). Leur \u00e2ge se situait entre 25 et 59 ans et le groupe comprenait 11 hommes et 5 femmes. Cinq Afro-Am\u00e9ricains, trois Asiatiques et un Hispanique faisaient partie du groupe de 16 participants. Hormis leur poids, tous \u00e9taient en bonne sant\u00e9, pratiquaient une activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re et prenaient r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement un petit-d\u00e9jeuner. Aucun des participants n&rsquo;a travaill\u00e9 en \u00e9quipe au cours de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant l&rsquo;\u00e9tude. Les femmes p\u00e9rim\u00e9nopaus\u00e9es n&rsquo;ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 incluses dans l&rsquo;\u00e9tude. La participation des femmes au groupe a \u00e9t\u00e9 programm\u00e9e afin d&rsquo;\u00e9viter les pouss\u00e9es hormonales susceptibles de fausser les r\u00e9sultats de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n<p>Pour l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, les participantes ont pass\u00e9 neuf jours sur le site du Brigham and Women&rsquo;s Hospital Center for Clinical Investigation \u00e0 deux occasions distinctes, espac\u00e9es de trois \u00e0 douze semaines. Chaque participant s&rsquo;est pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pendant deux semaines avant son premier s\u00e9jour en laboratoire, en maintenant un cycle veille-sommeil constant et contr\u00f4l\u00e9. Au cours des trois jours pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant la visite du laboratoire, ils devaient suivre un r\u00e9gime strict et identique, tant en termes de contenu que d&rsquo;horaire.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant leur s\u00e9jour, les participants \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tude n&rsquo;avaient ni t\u00e9l\u00e9phone, ni acc\u00e8s \u00e0 Internet, ni radio, ni visiteurs. La lumi\u00e8re et la temp\u00e9rature \u00e9taient \u00e9troitement contr\u00f4l\u00e9es et il n&rsquo;y avait pas d&rsquo;exercice. Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 un r\u00e9gime alimentaire strict, certains mangeant t\u00f4t et d&rsquo;autres tard. Ceux qui suivaient l&rsquo;horaire matinal mangeaient 60 minutes apr\u00e8s leur r\u00e9veil, puis 250 minutes plus tard, suivis d&rsquo;un troisi\u00e8me repas 250 minutes apr\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p>Les personnes mangeant selon un horaire tardif ont pris chaque repas quatre heures plus tard que le groupe mangeant t\u00f4t. La consommation de chaque repas ne prenait pas plus d&rsquo;une demi-heure. Les perceptions de la faim et de l&rsquo;app\u00e9tit ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9es 18 fois par jour pendant la p\u00e9riode de test. Les hormones r\u00e9gulatrices de la faim et de la sati\u00e9t\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9es toutes les heures les jours de test et la temp\u00e9rature corporelle centrale a \u00e9t\u00e9 surveill\u00e9e en permanence.<\/p>\n<h2>Comment le fait de manger tard augmente le risque d&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>D&rsquo;apr\u00e8s les r\u00e9sultats de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, le moment du repas a son importance. Manger tard a un impact sur des m\u00e9canismes et des processus sp\u00e9cifiques qui, lorsqu&rsquo;ils sont perturb\u00e9s, peuvent augmenter le risque d&rsquo;ob\u00e9sit\u00e9. Les personnes ayant pris leur repas \u00e0 une heure tardive \u00e9taient deux fois plus susceptibles d&rsquo;avoir faim que celles ayant pris leur repas \u00e0 une heure pr\u00e9coce. Ils avaient \u00e9galement plus envie de manger de la viande et des f\u00e9culents et avaient des scores plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s concernant la quantit\u00e9 de nourriture qu&rsquo;ils aimeraient manger.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Horizontal-In-Text-Image-39-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-44500 alignright\" title=\"Horizontal In Text Image 39 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Horizontal-In-Text-Image-39-3-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"Horizontal In Text Image 39 3\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Horizontal-In-Text-Image-39-3-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Horizontal-In-Text-Image-39-3-768x528.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Horizontal-In-Text-Image-39-3.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Leurs hormones r\u00e9gulatrices de l&rsquo;app\u00e9tit ont confirm\u00e9 leur perception de la faim, avec une augmentation de 34 % du rapport ghr\u00e9line\/leptine pendant les heures o\u00f9 ils \u00e9taient \u00e9veill\u00e9s. La <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/ghrelin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ghr\u00e9line<\/a>, souvent appel\u00e9e hormone de la faim, augmente l&rsquo;envie de manger, tandis que la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/leptin-101\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leptine<\/a>, connue par beaucoup comme l&rsquo;hormone de la sati\u00e9t\u00e9, vous indique que vous avez assez mang\u00e9. Lorsque le m\u00e9canisme ghr\u00e9line-leptine est perturb\u00e9, la r\u00e9gulation de l&rsquo;app\u00e9tit l&rsquo;est \u00e9galement, ce qui ouvre la voie \u00e0 une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/youre-likely-overeat-evening\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">surconsommation de calories<\/a>. Les mangeurs tardifs avaient \u00e9galement une temp\u00e9rature corporelle plus basse et un taux de d\u00e9pense \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique plus faible, ce qui signifie qu&rsquo;ils br\u00fblaient moins de calories. Au lieu de cela, ils \u00e9taient plus susceptibles de stocker ces calories sous forme de graisse.<\/p>\n<h2>Manger plus t\u00f4t pour mieux g\u00e9rer son poids<\/h2>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude d\u00e9taill\u00e9e ne fait que confirmer que la consommation de la majeure partie des calories en d\u00e9but de journ\u00e9e, lorsque l&rsquo;on est plus actif, est <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41366-018-0284-x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plus<\/a> conforme au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/top-10-circadian-rhythm-facts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rythme circadien<\/a>, \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on dont le corps est cens\u00e9 fonctionner, et qu&rsquo;elle peut faciliter la gestion du poids.
