Lorsque vous ne dormez pas suffisamment, vous pouvez avoir l&rsquo;impression que votre humeur et votre concentration sont plus faibles que d&rsquo;habitude. Cependant, de nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes sugg\u00e8rent que les risques associ\u00e9s \u00e0 une nuit blanche vont bien au-del\u00e0 des changements imm\u00e9diats de performance le lendemain.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;insomnie s&rsquo;est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00eatre un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/30537570\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">facteur pr\u00e9dictif de diverses maladies mentales<\/a>, allant de la d\u00e9pression et de l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 la psychose. Par exemple, les femmes qui souffrent d&rsquo;insomnie depuis 10 ans ou plus sont <a href=\"https:\/\/ebm.bmj.com\/content\/21\/3\/107\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">plus susceptibles d&rsquo;avoir une crise cardiaque ou un accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral<\/a>. Elles sont \u00e9galement plus susceptibles de souffrir de divers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acc.org\/latest-in-cardiology\/articles\/2016\/08\/02\/07\/25\/insomnia-and-heart-disease\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">types de maladies cardiovasculaires<\/a>, de l&rsquo;hypertension \u00e0 l&rsquo;insuffisance cardiaque. C&rsquo;est particuli\u00e8rement vrai pour les femmes \u00e0 faible revenu, qui sont plus susceptibles de souffrir d&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nements cardiovasculaires que les femmes appartenant \u00e0 une classe sociale plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que plusieurs \u00e9tudes aient examin\u00e9 le lien entre l&rsquo;insomnie et les maladies cardiovasculaires, peu de preuves convaincantes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es pour sugg\u00e9rer que l&rsquo;insomnie devrait \u00eatre d\u00e9pist\u00e9e et trait\u00e9e comme le sont actuellement le r\u00e9gime alimentaire et l&rsquo;exercice physique. Toutefois, une nouvelle \u00e9tude sugg\u00e8re que ce type de d\u00e9pistage pourrait effectivement constituer un moyen efficace de pr\u00e9venir les maladies cardiovasculaires.<\/p>\n<h2>Nouveaux liens entre l&rsquo;insomnie et les maladies cardiovasculaires<\/h2>\n<p>Dans une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cente, des chercheurs chinois ont suivi pendant dix ans un large groupe de personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 30 \u00e0 79 ans. Ils ont suivi l&rsquo;incidence de certains facteurs de risque chez les sujets test\u00e9s, ainsi que l&rsquo;incidence de diff\u00e9rentes maladies telles que l&rsquo;infarctus et l&rsquo;accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral. Tous les volontaires \u00e9taient en bonne sant\u00e9 au d\u00e9but de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, sans ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents de maladie chronique.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours des dix ann\u00e9es de suivi du groupe, ceux qui avaient des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents d&rsquo;insomnie chronique pr\u00e9sentaient un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/327026.php?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_country=US&amp;utm_hcp=no#5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">risque nettement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de d\u00e9velopper des maladies cardiovasculaires graves telles que l&rsquo;infarctus du myocarde et l&rsquo;accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9<\/a>bral. En fait, les personnes souffrant d&rsquo;insomnie s\u00e9v\u00e8re avaient un risque accru de 18 % de contracter l&rsquo;une de ces maladies. Ce lien \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement fort chez les jeunes et les personnes qui ne pr\u00e9sentaient aucun facteur de risque avant l&rsquo;\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude est importante car elle \u00e9tablit un lien de causalit\u00e9 certain entre l&rsquo;insomnie et les maladies cardiaques. Cependant, peu d&rsquo;entre elles ont montr\u00e9 comment ces maladies peuvent se d\u00e9velopper chez des personnes en bonne sant\u00e9 souffrant d&rsquo;insomnie. Cette constatation est importante car elle montre que le d\u00e9pistage et le traitement de l&rsquo;insomnie peuvent constituer un moyen particuli\u00e8rement important de r\u00e9duire les maladies cardiaques. Cela est d&rsquo;autant plus vrai que l&rsquo;insomnie et les autres troubles du sommeil sont tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandus.<\/p>\n<p>En moyenne, une personne sur quatre souffre d&rsquo;insomnie chaque ann\u00e9e. La plupart des personnes reprennent des habitudes de sommeil normales apr\u00e8s une courte p\u00e9riode. Toutefois, environ un quart d&rsquo;entre elles d\u00e9velopperont une insomnie chronique. Et si ces personnes pouvaient \u00eatre identifi\u00e9es et trait\u00e9es avant que leur c\u0153ur et leurs vaisseaux sanguins ne soient endommag\u00e9s ? Il est peut-\u00eatre temps de commencer \u00e0 d\u00e9pister les troubles du sommeil et de les prendre plus au s\u00e9rieux.<\/p>\n<h2>Combattre l&rsquo;insomnie, une nuit \u00e0 la fois<\/h2>\n<p>Si vous ou l&rsquo;un de vos proches souffrez d&rsquo;insomnie, il est important de vous faire soigner. Essayez des rem\u00e8des simples, comme \u00e9teindre les lumi\u00e8res la nuit et prendre un suppl\u00e9ment de m\u00e9latonine. On a \u00e9galement constat\u00e9 qu&rsquo;un type de th\u00e9rapie particulier, appel\u00e9 th\u00e9rapie cognitivo-comportementale, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/cbt-and-insomnia-is-cognitive-behavioral-therapy-really-effective\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">aidait les gens \u00e0 mieux dormir<\/a>.
