Les tissus sont cr\u00e9\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de cellules souches et utilis\u00e9s comme \u00e9chafaudage pour de nouveaux tissus qui remplaceront ceux qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 endommag\u00e9s par le stress de la journ\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n<p>Cette restauration et cette r\u00e9paration sont <a href=\"https:\/\/news.harvard.edu\/gazette\/story\/2007\/03\/sleep-found-to-repair-and-reorganize-the-brain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">particuli\u00e8rement importantes dans notre cerveau<\/a>. Le sommeil est essentiel \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 du cerveau, en particulier le sommeil paradoxal, au cours duquel le cerveau \u00e9limine les d\u00e9chets. Il n&rsquo;est pas surprenant que lorsque nous sommes priv\u00e9s de sommeil, notre m\u00e9moire et notre cognition sont souvent les premiers endroits o\u00f9 les effets de l&rsquo;\u00e9puisement se font sentir.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que les m\u00eames g\u00e8nes r\u00e9gissent \u00e0 la fois le rythme circadien et la r\u00e9paration des tissus. Les g\u00e8nes BMAL1 et CLOCK, par exemple, sont connus depuis longtemps pour contr\u00f4ler diff\u00e9rents aspects du rythme circadien. Selon de nouvelles \u00e9tudes, ils jouent \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le <a href=\"http:\/\/embor.embopress.org\/content\/19\/1\/18#sec-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">crucial dans la diff\u00e9renciation des cellules souches<\/a>, qui est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel de la r\u00e9paration des tissus.<\/p>\n<h2>G\u00e8nes circadiens et cellules souches<\/h2>\n<p>Une nouvelle \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e ce mois-ci s&rsquo;est pench\u00e9e sur la mani\u00e8re dont le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S002432051830688X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sommeil peut contr\u00f4ler la r\u00e9paration des tissus<\/a> et d&rsquo;autres processus r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs. Avant de s&rsquo;endormir, notre corps commence \u00e0 produire des niveaux \u00e9lev\u00e9s de m\u00e9latonine, une hormone. Cette hormone nous rend somnolent mais d\u00e9clenche \u00e9galement la production de certaines cytokines, qui sont des mol\u00e9cules messag\u00e8res. Ces cytokines activent les g\u00e8nes circadiens CLOCK et BMAL1 qui favorisent \u00e0 la fois le comportement de sommeil et la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des tissus. La temp\u00e9rature de notre corps diminue, ce qui a pour effet de r\u00e9duire notre activit\u00e9 m\u00e9tabolique afin de consacrer une plus grande partie de notre \u00e9nergie \u00e0 la r\u00e9paration.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que les chercheurs aient depuis longtemps constat\u00e9 un lien entre le sommeil et la r\u00e9paration cellulaire, c&rsquo;est la premi\u00e8re fois que l&rsquo;on donne des d\u00e9tails sur le m\u00e9canisme qui relie les deux. La m\u00e9latonine semble \u00eatre la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape du processus de sommeil et de r\u00e9paration. Elle semble \u00e9galement avoir d&rsquo;autres fonctions, en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S156816371730257X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tant qu&rsquo;<\/a> agent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S156816371730257X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">anti-inflammatoire et antioxydant<\/a>, en plus de son r\u00f4le dans la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration et le sommeil.<\/p>\n<h2>R\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des tissus et maladies<\/h2>\n<p>Pourquoi ces nouvelles \u00e9tudes sont-elles si importantes ? Des recherches r\u00e9centes ont montr\u00e9 que la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des tissus est la cl\u00e9 d&rsquo;une vie longue et saine. Le processus de vieillissement r\u00e9sulte de l&rsquo;arr\u00eat de la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des tissus. Des maladies comme les maladies cardiaques surviennent lorsque nous ne pouvons plus r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer les tissus cardiovasculaires, tandis que le cancer survient lorsque l&rsquo;ADN ne peut plus \u00eatre r\u00e9par\u00e9. Il est donc essentiel que nos cellules aient le temps de reconstruire l&rsquo;ADN et les tissus endommag\u00e9s. Le sommeil semble \u00eatre ce temps.<\/p>\n<p>Ce lien entre le sommeil et la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration cellulaire contribue \u00e0 expliquer la relation connue depuis longtemps entre le sommeil et le risque de maladie. Les personnes qui ne dorment pas suffisamment sont plus expos\u00e9es \u00e0 des maladies allant du diab\u00e8te aux maladies cardiaques en passant par la maladie d&rsquo;Alzheimer. Environ un tiers des adultes souffriront d&rsquo;un manque de sommeil, d&rsquo;insomnie ou d&rsquo;un autre trouble du sommeil cette ann\u00e9e. Bien que nous sachions que le sommeil est important, il reste insaisissable pour beaucoup. Bien qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;existe aucun moyen de forcer le sommeil, les mesures suivantes peuvent faciliter l&rsquo;obtention du sommeil et de la bonne sant\u00e9 que vous souhaitez :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prendre un suppl\u00e9ment de m\u00e9latonine avant de se coucher.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9teignez les t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs, les smartphones et autres \u00e9crans, car il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que la lumi\u00e8re bleue emp\u00eache l&rsquo;organisme de produire d&rsquo;importantes hormones du sommeil.<\/li>\n<li>Dormez et r\u00e9veillez-vous \u00e0 la m\u00eame heure tous les jours pour que votre cerveau puisse se caler sur un horaire.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9vitez les activit\u00e9s stressantes ou la lecture avant de vous coucher.<\/li>\n<li>Procurez-vous des rideaux occultants ou d&rsquo;autres rideaux \u00e9pais pour emp\u00eacher la pollution lumineuse de perturber subtilement vos cycles de sommeil.<\/li>\n<li>Utilisez un r\u00e9veil avec des lumi\u00e8res int\u00e9gr\u00e9es pour simuler le lever du soleil et vous aider \u00e0 vous r\u00e9veiller plus doucement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bien qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y ait pas de solution miracle pour vous faire dormir, de nombreux changements de mode de vie peuvent vous aider. Comme le montrent un nombre croissant d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes, le sommeil est essentiel au bien-\u00eatre physique et \u00e9motionnel.
