Aujourd&rsquo;hui, une nouvelle \u00e9tude r\u00e9v\u00e8le que m\u00eame des troubles mineurs du sommeil, tels que des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 s&rsquo;endormir ou \u00e0 dormir toute la nuit, augmentent la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/blood-pressure-heart-attacks-and-chronotherapy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tension art\u00e9rielle<\/a> et accroissent de mani\u00e8re significative le risque de maladie cardiaque chez les femmes.<\/p>\n<h2>Le manque chronique de sommeil est connu pour augmenter les complications cardiaques<\/h2>\n<p>Nous savons depuis un certain temps que le manque de qualit\u00e9 du sommeil a des r\u00e9percussions directes sur la sant\u00e9 cardiaque. Les probl\u00e8mes de manque de sommeil chronique sont connus pour augmenter les taux de tension art\u00e9rielle et accro\u00eetre le risque global de d\u00e9velopper une maladie cardiovasculaire. Environ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/media\/releases\/2016\/p0215-enough-sleep.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">un tiers des adultes am\u00e9ricains<\/a> ne dorment pas suffisamment, et ce probl\u00e8me semble toucher davantage les femmes que les hommes. Selon les donn\u00e9es de la National Sleep Foundation, les <a href=\"https:\/\/sleepfoundation.org\/sleep-topics\/women-and-sleep\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">femmes semblent avoir plus de probl\u00e8mes de sommeil<\/a> et sont m\u00eame deux fois plus susceptibles de souffrir d&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1098359703900342\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">insomnie chronique<\/a>. C&rsquo;est pour cette raison que des chercheurs du centre m\u00e9dical Irving de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 Columbia ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de concentrer leurs efforts les plus r\u00e9cents sur la sant\u00e9 du sommeil des femmes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/womens-health-even-minor-sleep-problems-raise-blood-pressure-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22212 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/womens-health-even-minor-sleep-problems-raise-blood-pressure-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Women\u2019s Health: Even Minor Sleep Problems Raise Blood Pressure 1\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/womens-health-even-minor-sleep-problems-raise-blood-pressure-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/womens-health-even-minor-sleep-problems-raise-blood-pressure-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/womens-health-even-minor-sleep-problems-raise-blood-pressure-2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>L&rsquo;auteur principal de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, Brook Aggarwal, EdD, sp\u00e9cialiste des sciences du comportement au d\u00e9partement de m\u00e9decine de Columbia, a expliqu\u00e9 pourquoi la pr\u00e9valence des troubles du sommeil chez les femmes est particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9occupante : \u00ab\u00a0C&rsquo;est inqui\u00e9tant, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9, car des \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que le manque de sommeil et les probl\u00e8mes de sommeil plus l\u00e9gers peuvent avoir un effet disproportionn\u00e9 sur la sant\u00e9 cardiovasculaire des femmes.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9tude d&rsquo;une s\u00e9rie de probl\u00e8mes de sommeil chez les femmes<\/h2>\n<p>\u00c0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un appareil semblable \u00e0 une montre-bracelet, les chercheurs ont surveill\u00e9 les habitudes de sommeil de 323 participantes en bonne sant\u00e9 \u00e2g\u00e9es de 20 \u00e0 79 ans. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe a suivi les probl\u00e8mes de sommeil mineurs, comme la difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 s&rsquo;endormir, les p\u00e9riodes d&rsquo;insomnie ainsi que la qualit\u00e9 du sommeil des participantes. Les chercheurs ont \u00e9galement surveill\u00e9 des troubles du sommeil plus graves tels que l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/sleepfoundation.org\/sleep-disorders-problems\/sleep-apnea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apn\u00e9e du sommeil<\/a>, qui est un trouble au cours duquel une personne s&rsquo;arr\u00eate p\u00e9riodiquement de respirer pendant de courts intervalles au cours de son sommeil.<\/p>\n<p>Certains participants ont accept\u00e9 que les chercheurs pr\u00e9l\u00e8vent des cellules endoth\u00e9liales, les cellules qui tapissent les vaisseaux sanguins, \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur d&rsquo;une veine de leur bras afin de rechercher la pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;une prot\u00e9ine pro-inflammatoire particuli\u00e8re. Cette prot\u00e9ine, le facteur nucl\u00e9aire endoth\u00e9lial kappa B, a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;inflammation et au d\u00e9veloppement des maladies cardiaques. Sous la direction de l&rsquo;auteur principal de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, le docteur Sanja Jelia, professeur agr\u00e9g\u00e9 de m\u00e9decine, les chercheurs ont pu \u00e9tablir un lien entre l&rsquo;inflammation endoth\u00e9liale et des troubles mineurs du sommeil.<\/p>\n<h2>Les chercheurs constatent que des probl\u00e8mes de sommeil, m\u00eame mineurs, augmentent la tension art\u00e9rielle<\/h2>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Des troubles du sommeil relativement l\u00e9gers, tels qu&rsquo;une mauvaise qualit\u00e9 du sommeil, un temps d&rsquo;endormissement prolong\u00e9 et l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/chronic-insomnia-boosts-risk-kidney-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">insomnie<\/a>, sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 une augmentation de la pression art\u00e9rielle et de l&rsquo;inflammation vasculaire chez les femmes, m\u00eame en l&rsquo;absence de privation de sommeil\u00a0\u00bb, affirment les auteurs. Il est surprenant de constater que les femmes ne souffrant que de probl\u00e8mes de sommeil l\u00e9gers, m\u00eame celles qui dormaient en moyenne sept \u00e0 neuf heures par nuit, \u00e9taient n\u00e9anmoins beaucoup plus susceptibles d&rsquo;avoir une tension art\u00e9rielle plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nos r\u00e9sultats sugg\u00e8rent que de l\u00e9gers probl\u00e8mes de sommeil pourraient \u00e9ventuellement d\u00e9clencher l&rsquo;inflammation endoth\u00e9liale vasculaire qui contribue de mani\u00e8re significative aux maladies cardiovasculaires. Les r\u00e9sultats d&rsquo;un essai clinique en cours pourraient confirmer ces r\u00e9sultats. En attendant, il serait prudent de d\u00e9pister les troubles du sommeil l\u00e9gers chez les femmes afin de pr\u00e9venir les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/shift-work-cause-heart-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maladies cardiovasculaires<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Dr Aggarwal.<\/p>\n<h2>Personne n&rsquo;est totalement \u00e0 l&rsquo;abri : Le manque de sommeil augmente \u00e9galement la pression art\u00e9rielle chez les hommes<\/h2>\n<p>Si cette derni\u00e8re \u00e9tude s&rsquo;est concentr\u00e9e sur les r\u00e9sultats de sant\u00e9 des femmes, les hommes ne sont pas pour autant invuln\u00e9rables aux effets d&rsquo;un sommeil insuffisant. Une <a href=\"http:\/\/healthland.time.com\/2011\/08\/30\/could-lack-of-deep-sleep-fuel-high-blood-pressure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00e9tude pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente<\/a>, men\u00e9e conjointement par des chercheurs de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Harvard et de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Californie \u00e0 San Diego et publi\u00e9e dans la revue <em>Hypertension<\/em> de l&rsquo;American Heart Association, a montr\u00e9 que le manque chronique de sommeil augmentait la pression art\u00e9rielle chez les hommes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 65 ans et plus.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que des recherches suppl\u00e9mentaires soient n\u00e9cessaires pour confirmer les r\u00e9sultats de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle d&rsquo;une population plus large, les conclusions de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe prouvent que la qualit\u00e9 du sommeil est encore plus importante que la quantit\u00e9 de sommeil et sugg\u00e8rent qu&rsquo;il pourrait \u00eatre judicieux de consid\u00e9rer le sommeil comme un traitement pr\u00e9ventif de la sant\u00e9 cardiovasculaire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vous savez sans doute d\u00e9j\u00e0 que le manque de sommeil est li\u00e9 \u00e0 une myriade de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et physique.
