De nouvelles recherches sugg\u00e8rent que la signalisation des prot\u00e9ines est la r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n<p>Les gens d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui ont tendance \u00e0 penser que les horloges internes sont une caract\u00e9ristique des humains et des autres mammif\u00e8res. Apr\u00e8s tout, les plantes ne peuvent pas s&rsquo;allonger pour dormir ou faire d&rsquo;autres choses que nous associons \u00e0 un rythme circadien. Pourtant, le rythme circadien des plantes est l&rsquo;un des sujets les plus anciennement \u00e9tudi\u00e9s en biologie. Il y a des centaines d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, les chercheurs se demandaient comment une fleur pouvait ouvrir ses p\u00e9tales \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re du soleil et ouvrir ses stomates la nuit, lorsqu&rsquo;il fait chaud. Les chercheurs en chronobiologie viennent peut-\u00eatre de trouver la r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n<h2>Signalisation des prot\u00e9ines : Un rouage de l&rsquo;horloge interne des plantes<\/h2>\n<p>Il est tr\u00e8s important pour les plantes d&rsquo;\u00eatre en phase avec leur environnement. Les plantes doivent fermer et ouvrir les stomates, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire les petits trous dans leurs cellules qui permettent les \u00e9changes gazeux, \u00e0 des moments o\u00f9 elles sont plus actives sur le plan m\u00e9tabolique et o\u00f9 elles ne perdent pas autant de liquide. Elles doivent \u00e9galement ouvrir les feuilles et les fleurs lorsqu&rsquo;elles sont plus expos\u00e9es au soleil. Les plantes ne peuvent pas se d\u00e9placer d&rsquo;elles-m\u00eames vers un sol plus accueillant, leur vie d\u00e9pend donc de leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 s&rsquo;adapter \u00e0 l&rsquo;endroit o\u00f9 elles sont plant\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Le secret de l&rsquo;horloge interne des plantes semble \u00eatre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2017\/05\/170516104718.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">une prot\u00e9ine appel\u00e9e Zeitlupe<\/a>. La Zeitlupe contient certains acides amin\u00e9s qui \u00e9tablissent des liaisons chimiques \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents niveaux d&rsquo;ensoleillement. L&rsquo;activit\u00e9 de ces acides amin\u00e9s agit comme une sorte de signal prot\u00e9ique et augmente lorsque les niveaux de lumi\u00e8re commencent \u00e0 baisser, par exemple lorsque la journ\u00e9e commence \u00e0 se transformer en soir\u00e9e. Une autre prot\u00e9ine, appel\u00e9e FKF-1, semble \u00eatre le contraire de Zeitlupe. Certaines des toutes premi\u00e8res exp\u00e9riences ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur des plantes. C&rsquo;est particuli\u00e8rement vrai dans le domaine de la chronobiologie, qui a d\u00e9but\u00e9 lorsque Jean Jacques d&rsquo;Ortous de Mairan a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/about-chronobiology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">enregistr\u00e9 les mouvements des feuilles de mimosa<\/a> et a finalement pu montrer qu&rsquo;elles suivaient un rythme circadien. Ce n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;un d\u00e9but. Elles ont la capacit\u00e9 de gu\u00e9rir les maladies et d&rsquo;aider les humains \u00e0 mener une vie plus heureuse et plus saine. Toutefois, les d\u00e9couvertes concernant le rythme circadien des plantes pourraient toucher un plus grand nombre de personnes encore. Dans un monde qui souffre de s\u00e9cheresses et manque souvent de nourriture, une agriculture plus efficace pourrait aider des millions de personnes \u00e0 vivre plus longtemps et en meilleure sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Comment une fleur sait-elle quand elle doit s&rsquo;ouvrir ? M\u00eame si la r\u00e9ponse n&rsquo;est pas simple, nous avons une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 cette question tr\u00e8s ancienne.
