Les nouvelles technologies qui permettent d&rsquo;inverser le cours du vieillissement chez la souris pourraient un jour \u00eatre disponibles pour l&rsquo;homme.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame si les scientifiques et les m\u00e9decins apprennent \u00e0 traiter ou \u00e0 gu\u00e9rir toute une s\u00e9rie de maladies mortelles, il reste une cause de d\u00e9c\u00e8s qui ne peut \u00eatre trait\u00e9e : le vieillissement. M\u00eame si nous menons une vie tr\u00e8s saine et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions d&rsquo;excellents soins m\u00e9dicaux, notre corps finit par se d\u00e9grader de l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur. Les chercheurs commencent \u00e0 comprendre exactement pourquoi cela se produit et prennent les premi\u00e8res mesures pour r\u00e9duire le vieillissement, voire l&rsquo;inverser compl\u00e8tement. Ces \u00e9tudes r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur des souris pourraient avoir un impact consid\u00e9rable sur la sant\u00e9 humaine \u00e0 l&rsquo;avenir.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique et vieillissement<\/h2>\n<p>De nouvelles recherches indiquent que les changements \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques dans nos cellules pourraient \u00eatre \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/category\/aging\/\">vieillissement<\/a> tel que nous le connaissons actuellement. Les changements \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques sont des changements qui affectent la fa\u00e7on dont nos g\u00e8nes sont utilis\u00e9s. Notre ADN est li\u00e9 tout au long de notre vie \u00e0 des mol\u00e9cules qui d\u00e9terminent quels g\u00e8nes sont transcrits en prot\u00e9ines. Au cours de notre vie, ces r\u00e9gulateurs peuvent \u00eatre ajout\u00e9s, supprim\u00e9s ou endommag\u00e9s, ce qui affecte le fonctionnement de nos cellules. L&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 du fonctionnement et de la division de nos cellules s&rsquo;en trouve alt\u00e9r\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Comment ces changements se produisent-ils ? Dans certains cas, de simples erreurs de reproduction en sont la cause. L&rsquo;exposition \u00e0 des \u00e9l\u00e9ments oxydants tels que la fum\u00e9e de cigarette peut \u00e9galement y contribuer. Les chercheurs ont \u00e9lev\u00e9 des souris atteintes d&rsquo;une maladie connue sous le nom de prog\u00e9ria, dans laquelle les animaux vieillissent extraordinairement vite. Cette maladie existe \u00e9galement chez l&rsquo;homme, bien qu&rsquo;elle soit tr\u00e8s rare. Ils ont ensuite <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/cell\/fulltext\/S0092-8674(16)31664-6\">reprogramm\u00e9 plusieurs g\u00e8nes de ces souris \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de facteurs \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques<\/a>, ce qui a permis aux cellules de se r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer. Le processus de vieillissement acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 de ces souris a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 stopp\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Ces m\u00eames g\u00e8nes ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 reprogramm\u00e9s \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement chez des souris vieillissantes pr\u00e9sentant des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 tr\u00e8s similaires aux n\u00f4tres, notamment une cicatrisation lente et des troubles m\u00e9taboliques. La reprogrammation a entra\u00een\u00e9 une am\u00e9lioration et, dans certains cas, une gu\u00e9rison compl\u00e8te.<\/p>\n<h2>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, les souris. Demain, l&rsquo;homme ?<\/h2>\n<p>Ces d\u00e9couvertes peuvent-elles s&rsquo;appliquer \u00e0 l&rsquo;homme ? Plusieurs \u00e9tudes sugg\u00e8rent que c&rsquo;est le cas. Les processus \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine du processus de vieillissement semblent \u00eatre les m\u00eames chez l&rsquo;homme que chez la souris. Lorsque les <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salk.edu\/news-release\/turning-back-time-salk-scientists-reverse-signs-aging\/\">m\u00eames traitements que ceux utilis\u00e9s sur les souris ont \u00e9t\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 des cellules humaines vieillissantes<\/a> dans une bo\u00eete de Petri, les cellules ont rajeuni et ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 se comporter comme des cellules jeunes. Les modifications \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques apport\u00e9es \u00e0 ces cellules les ont transform\u00e9es en cellules souches pluripotentes, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire capables de d\u00e9velopper plus d&rsquo;un type de cellule et de se diviser pour une autre dur\u00e9e de vie.<\/p>\n<p>La recherche g\u00e9n\u00e9tique sur l&rsquo;homme est actuellement interdite aux \u00c9tats-Unis et dans de nombreux pays. Il faudra donc attendre des d\u00e9cennies avant que cette recherche puisse \u00eatre extrapol\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re significative \u00e0 l&rsquo;homme. Toutefois, il est prometteur de savoir que les sables du temps ne seront peut-\u00eatre pas aussi destructeurs pour les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations actuelles au fur et \u00e0 mesure que nous vieillissons.<\/p>\n<h2>Le vieillissement : Une question de temps ?<\/h2>\n<p>Le vieillissement semble \u00eatre partiellement d\u00fb \u00e0 des horloges internes compos\u00e9es, au moins en partie, d&rsquo;un m\u00e9canisme d&rsquo;horlogerie \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tique. Alors que la recherche en chronobiologie se concentre actuellement sur la mani\u00e8re dont notre corps s&rsquo;adapte au temps au fil des jours, des mois et des saisons, elle pourrait bient\u00f4t s&rsquo;int\u00e9resser \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont nous \u00e9voluons au fil des ans. Tout comme nous avons des horloges internes qui nous indiquent quand dormir et quand nous lever, il semble qu&rsquo;il y ait des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/12\/15\/science\/scientists-say-they-can-reset-clock-of-aging-for-mice-at-least.html?_r=1\">horloges internes qui d\u00e9comptent les minutes de notre vie<\/a>. Nous pouvons acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer ces horloges en faisant de mauvais choix de sant\u00e9, mais nous pouvons aussi les ramener \u00e0 des heures plus saines. Mieux comprendre ce processus qui dure toute la vie pourrait permettre d&rsquo;inverser le processus de vieillissement.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avons tous entendu la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre citation \u00ab\u00a0Rien n&rsquo;est certain sauf la mort et les imp\u00f4ts\u00a0\u00bb, mais la mort pourrait bient\u00f4t \u00eatre incertaine. Des \u00e9tudes montrent que les changements \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui conduisent au vieillissement ne sont peut-\u00eatre pas aussi permanents qu&rsquo;on le pensait, ce qui laisse esp\u00e9rer qu&rsquo;un jour nous pourrons vivre plus longtemps et en meilleure sant\u00e9, sans la d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rescence et la perte de fonctions que nous associons actuellement au fait de vieillir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Les scientifiques pourraient-ils bient\u00f4t r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 inverser le processus de vieillissement ?
