De nouvelles recherches en chronobiologie sur la fa\u00e7on dont les g\u00e8nes de l&rsquo;horloge circadienne r\u00e9gulent le cancer pourraient nous permettre de mieux d\u00e9tecter et traiter cette maladie grave.<\/p>\n<h2>Qu&rsquo;est-ce que le cancer ?<\/h2>\n<p>Pour la plupart des gens, le cancer est une condamnation \u00e0 mort. Peu de gens se donnent la peine de comprendre les processus cellulaires \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine de cette maladie, en raison de la peur compr\u00e9hensible qui y est associ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>La croissance cellulaire est \u00e9troitement r\u00e9gul\u00e9e dans le corps humain. Les cellules se d\u00e9veloppent et se divisent uniquement lorsqu&rsquo;elles en re\u00e7oivent l&rsquo;ordre par le biais de diff\u00e9rents signaux. Ces cellules cessent de se diviser et de cro\u00eetre lorsque les tissus qu&rsquo;elles constituent atteignent une certaine masse. Cette r\u00e9gulation est essentielle au fonctionnement du corps humain. Il existe une s\u00e9rie de points de contr\u00f4le qui emp\u00eachent les cellules de se diviser lorsqu&rsquo;elles ne sont pas n\u00e9cessaires ou lorsqu&rsquo;elles risquent de compromettre la sant\u00e9 des cellules et des tissus environnants. Ces deux cycles semblent \u00eatre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC1069621\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">li\u00e9s par plusieurs prot\u00e9ines communes aux deux voies<\/a>. Les humains et les autres mammif\u00e8res ont tendance \u00e0 s&rsquo;engager dans la croissance et la division cellulaires principalement la nuit, lorsque nous dormons. La nuit, nous subissons \u00e9galement des processus de r\u00e9paration vitaux qui garantissent que les cellules reproductrices disposent du codage g\u00e9n\u00e9tique correct pour remplir leurs fonctions.<\/p>\n<p>Comment les deux cycles sont-ils coupl\u00e9s par des prot\u00e9ines communes ? Selon des \u00e9tudes r\u00e9centes, plusieurs g\u00e8nes ne fabriquent des prot\u00e9ines qu&rsquo;\u00e0 des moments pr\u00e9cis. Ces prot\u00e9ines indiquent \u00e0 leur tour aux cellules si elles doivent se diviser et m\u00eame mourir. La vie, la croissance et la mort des cellules sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9es par ces g\u00e8nes du rythme circadien. Lorsque la croissance commence \u00e0 se produire sans contr\u00f4le sain, ces g\u00e8nes circadiens sont souvent \u00e0 bl\u00e2mer.<\/p>\n<h2>C-MYC : Le lien entre le rythme circadien et le cancer<\/h2>\n<p>De nombreuses \u00e9tudes ont point\u00e9 du doigt le c-MYC comme r\u00e9gulateur potentiel des tumeurs et du cancer. Cette prot\u00e9ine est contr\u00f4l\u00e9e par une autre prot\u00e9ine connue sous le nom de CRY2. Lorsque des chercheurs ont \u00e9limin\u00e9 le g\u00e8ne qui produit CRY2 chez des souris, celles-ci ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scripps.edu\/news\/press\/2016\/20161116lamia.html?platform=hootsuite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tumeurs qui se sont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re incontr\u00f4l\u00e9e et sont devenues mortelles &#8211;<\/a>en d&rsquo;autres termes, un cancer. CRY2 joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le important dans le rythme circadien des souris et des humains, d\u00e9terminant divers processus quotidiens tels que la faim et la fatigue. Comme de nombreux g\u00e8nes de l&rsquo;horloge circadienne, CRY2 est exprim\u00e9 selon un sch\u00e9ma rythmique en fonction de l&rsquo;heure de la journ\u00e9e. Parce qu&rsquo;il d\u00e9grade l&rsquo;oncog\u00e8ne c-MYC, il semble \u00e9galement jouer un r\u00f4le majeur dans la pr\u00e9vention du cancer.<\/p>\n<p>En quoi le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/about-chronobiology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rythme circadien<\/a> est-il si important pour la sant\u00e9 humaine ? Bien que les liens ne soient pas toujours clairs, une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de ce lien nous permettra, nous l&rsquo;esp\u00e9rons, de pr\u00e9venir, de d\u00e9tecter et de traiter le cancer de mani\u00e8re plus efficace.
