Comme chez l&rsquo;homme, le m\u00e9tabolisme des souris, notamment la quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne qu&rsquo;elles consomment, varie de mani\u00e8re pr\u00e9visible au cours d&rsquo;une journ\u00e9e de 24 heures.<\/p>\n<p>Les sympt\u00f4mes que pr\u00e9sentent les souris souffrant de d\u00e9calage horaire semblent familiers \u00e0 tout \u00eatre humain ayant souffert de ce trouble : fatigue, baisse des fonctions cognitives et difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 dormir. Cependant, lorsque les souris sont soumises \u00e0 des niveaux plus faibles d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne dans l&rsquo;air pendant une courte p\u00e9riode juste avant une perturbation importante de leur rythme circadien, elles semblent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cell.com\/cell-metabolism\/fulltext\/S1550-4131(16)30499-5\">s&rsquo;adapter presque imm\u00e9diatement sans aucun des effets secondaires communs au d\u00e9calage horaire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>HIF1\u03b1 et les besoins en oxyg\u00e8ne des cellules<\/h2>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont rapidement d\u00e9termin\u00e9 que la prot\u00e9ine HIF1\u03b1 \u00e9tait responsable de cette r\u00e9ponse aux environnements \u00e0 faible teneur en oxyg\u00e8ne. Nous souffrons de divers troubles du rythme circadien, du d\u00e9calage horaire aux probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au travail post\u00e9. Un rythme circadien perturb\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9 \u00e0 des maladies allant du diab\u00e8te de type 2 aux maladies cardiaques.
