Une nouvelle \u00e9tude a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu&rsquo;un faible taux de m\u00e9latonine pourrait contribuer \u00e0 ce trouble.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que la plupart des gens consid\u00e8rent la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/sleep-2\/melatonin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">m\u00e9latonine<\/a> comme une hormone du sommeil, un faible taux de m\u00e9latonine a \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9 \u00e0 divers troubles, y compris des troubles li\u00e9s \u00e0 la douleur chronique. Une nouvelle \u00e9tude a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu&rsquo;une carence en m\u00e9latonine pourrait \u00eatre un facteur important dans la fibromyalgie, \u00e9galement connue sous le nom de SFM.<\/p>\n<h2>Qu&rsquo;est-ce que la fibromyalgie ?<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fibrocenter.com\/fibromyalgia-disease\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Le mot fibromyalgie<\/a> vient du latin \u00ab\u00a0fibra\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie tissu fibreux, et des mots grecs \u00ab\u00a0myos\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie muscle, et \u00ab\u00a0algos\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie douleur. En effet, les douleurs musculaires, tendineuses et ligamentaires sont les sympt\u00f4mes caract\u00e9ristiques de cette maladie. La douleur musculaire n&rsquo;est cependant pas le seul sympt\u00f4me. Les personnes atteintes de cette maladie souffrent \u00e9galement de changements dans la fa\u00e7on dont le syst\u00e8me nerveux transmet et traite la douleur. Les autres sympt\u00f4mes comprennent, entre autres, la fatigue, la d\u00e9pression et l&rsquo;insomnie.<\/p>\n<p>La cause de cette maladie n&rsquo;est pas connue, mais il existe quelques sympt\u00f4mes physiques qui permettent de la diagnostiquer. Les nodules dans les muscles forment des points de d\u00e9clenchement qui peuvent \u00eatre \u00e9valu\u00e9s par les m\u00e9decins. Le manque de connaissances sur la cause de cette maladie la rend difficile \u00e0 traiter et encore plus difficile \u00e0 vivre.<\/p>\n<h2>La m\u00e9latonine : l&rsquo;anti-douleur maison de votre corps<\/h2>\n<p>Plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es sur la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0024320509000502\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">m\u00e9latonine et la douleur<\/a>. La m\u00e9latonine n&rsquo;est pas seulement l&rsquo;hormone qui contribue \u00e0 dicter notre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/about-chronobiology\/#CircadianRhythm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rythme circadien<\/a> inn\u00e9, ou horloge biologique de 24 heures, mais aussi un modulateur des signaux de la douleur. La m\u00e9latonine a des effets indirects sur les r\u00e9cepteurs opio\u00efdes, qui sont les m\u00eames r\u00e9cepteurs que ceux affect\u00e9s par de nombreux m\u00e9dicaments contre la douleur.<\/p>\n<p>De nouvelles recherches ont montr\u00e9 que les <a href=\"http:\/\/nopr.niscair.res.in\/handle\/123456789\/11609\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">personnes souffrant du SFM ont des niveaux plus faibles de m\u00e9latonine<\/a> ainsi que d&rsquo;autres neurohormones importantes telles que la s\u00e9rotonine. Alors que l&rsquo;on a longtemps cru que le manque de sommeil et la fatigue associ\u00e9s \u00e0 ce trouble \u00e9taient le r\u00e9sultat d&rsquo;une douleur constante, le manque de m\u00e9latonine est probablement un \u00e9l\u00e9ment contributif \u00e0 deux \u00e9gards : Son effet sur le rythme circadien et son effet sur la douleur. Le r\u00f4le de la m\u00e9latonine dans l&rsquo;activation indirecte des r\u00e9cepteurs opio\u00efdes sugg\u00e8re qu&rsquo;elle peut \u00eatre utile pour une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de troubles douloureux chroniques. La m\u00e9latonine \u00e9tant s\u00fbre et vendue dans la plupart des r\u00e9gions des \u00c9tats-Unis et d&rsquo;Europe, les personnes souffrant de ces maladies n&rsquo;auront pas \u00e0 attendre une longue proc\u00e9dure d&rsquo;approbation de la FDA pour savoir si cette hormone peut les aider.<\/p>\n<h2>L&rsquo;avenir du traitement de la douleur chronique<\/h2>\n<p>Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 r\u00e9cemment, de nombreux m\u00e9decins traitaient les douleurs chroniques \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;analg\u00e9siques opiac\u00e9s qui pouvaient avoir des effets secondaires d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ables et cr\u00e9er une d\u00e9pendance. Les nouvelles recherches en chronobiologie permettent toutefois aux professionnels de la sant\u00e9 de commencer \u00e0 traiter certaines des causes de cette douleur. Il est toujours pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable d&rsquo;identifier et de traiter la cause premi\u00e8re d&rsquo;une maladie plut\u00f4t que de se contenter de la masquer.<\/p>\n<p>La m\u00e9latonine, comme de nombreuses hormones, joue de multiples r\u00f4les dans le corps humain. Son r\u00f4le dans la modulation de la douleur et son potentiel dans le traitement des troubles douloureux chroniques est une nouvelle d\u00e9couverte qui offre de l&rsquo;espoir aux personnes qui luttent contre le SFM et d&rsquo;autres syndromes douloureux.
