Le corps humain fonctionne comme une horloge lorsqu&rsquo;il est en bonne sant\u00e9, mais ces rythmes complexes peuvent \u00eatre perturb\u00e9s par la maladie. Dans certaines maladies, l&rsquo;identification de ces horloges internes alt\u00e9r\u00e9es peut \u00eatre la cl\u00e9 d&rsquo;un traitement nouveau et plus efficace. Le cancer est l&rsquo;une des nombreuses maladies pour lesquelles les nouvelles recherches en biologie circadienne peuvent sauver des vies.<\/p>\n<h2>Le cancer et le rythme circadien<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/new-study-backs-chronopharmacology-in-cancer-treatment-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6904\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/new-study-backs-chronopharmacology-in-cancer-treatment-3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"cancer cells\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/new-study-backs-chronopharmacology-in-cancer-treatment-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/new-study-backs-chronopharmacology-in-cancer-treatment-3.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\u00c0 bien des \u00e9gards, le cancer est une question de timing. Les cellules normales croissent et meurent selon un rythme tr\u00e8s r\u00e9gulier d\u00e9termin\u00e9 par les g\u00e8nes de l&rsquo;horloge. Lorsque ces g\u00e8nes sont mut\u00e9s ou ne fonctionnent pas normalement, les cellules peuvent commencer \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper de mani\u00e8re incontr\u00f4l\u00e9e, tuant les cellules saines qui les entourent. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/20042409\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La plupart des cancers r\u00e9sultent de l&rsquo;une des nombreuses mutations connues des g\u00e8nes r\u00e9gulateurs du cycle cellulaire.<\/a> Cette compr\u00e9hension moderne de l&rsquo;apparition du cancer et du comportement des cellules canc\u00e9reuses a conduit \u00e0 des traitements nouveaux et innovants qui permettent de lutter contre le cancer avec moins d&rsquo;effets secondaires.<\/p>\n<h2>L&rsquo;oncog\u00e8ne Myc : Le codage du cancer<\/h2>\n<p>De nombreux cancers ont \u00e9t\u00e9 li\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/onc\/journal\/v22\/n56\/full\/1207261a.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">oncog\u00e8ne Myc<\/a>, un g\u00e8ne fortement impliqu\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gulation du cycle cellulaire. Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 70 % des cancers impliquent une mutation de ce g\u00e8ne. Lorsque ce g\u00e8ne est sain, il veille \u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;un nombre suffisant de cellules se d\u00e9veloppent et m\u00fbrissent dans les diff\u00e9rents organes. De nouvelles cellules ne sont fabriqu\u00e9es qu&rsquo;en cas de besoin, et les cellules endommag\u00e9es sont recycl\u00e9es. Ce processus est essentiel au maintien de tissus sains et fonctionnels. Cependant, lorsque le g\u00e8ne Myc est mut\u00e9, il n&rsquo;arr\u00eate plus la croissance des cellules lorsque cela est n\u00e9cessaire. Les cellules canc\u00e9reuses peuvent alors se d\u00e9velopper de mani\u00e8re incontr\u00f4l\u00e9e et se propager \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres parties du corps.<\/p>\n<h2>Arr\u00eater vos horloges internes<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2015\/09\/150917135002.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Une nouvelle \u00e9tude en chronobiologie<\/a> a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que le g\u00e8ne Myc joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le dans le rythme circadien et que ce rythme est perturb\u00e9 dans les cellules qui subissent des modifications canc\u00e9reuses. Il en r\u00e9sulte une surproduction de prot\u00e9ines et un d\u00e9calage du cycle cellulaire. La <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/practice-of-chronobiology\/chronopharmacology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chronopharmacologie<\/a>, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire l&rsquo;\u00e9tude de la mani\u00e8re dont les th\u00e9rapies peuvent \u00eatre programm\u00e9es pour produire le plus d&rsquo;effets b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques et le moins d&rsquo;effets n\u00e9fastes, est particuli\u00e8rement importante dans les traitements contre le cancer. Les chercheurs ont d\u00e9couvert que certains traitements sont plus efficaces ou ont moins d&rsquo;effets secondaires \u00e0 certaines heures de la journ\u00e9e. Le fait de savoir que les cellules canc\u00e9reuses fonctionnent selon une horloge alt\u00e9r\u00e9e est une information pr\u00e9cieuse pour planifier le moment de la chimioth\u00e9rapie.
