Nous avons tous entendu dire qu&rsquo;il est important de dormir huit heures par nuit, mais peu de choses sont dites sur le moment o\u00f9 il faut dormir. Cependant, les recommandations en mati\u00e8re de sommeil pourraient bient\u00f4t changer, car de nouvelles recherches en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chronobiologie<\/a> sugg\u00e8rent que le moment o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on dort est tout aussi important que la dur\u00e9e du sommeil.<\/p>\n<h2>Souris endormies et rythme circadien<\/h2>\n<p>Dans <a href=\"http:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/releases\/298975.php?tw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cette nouvelle \u00e9tude<\/a>, des scientifiques de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;\u00c9tat de Washington ont modifi\u00e9 les rythmes biologiques de souris pour voir comment cela les affectait. Les souris ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9es dans un environnement de laboratoire artificiel avec une journ\u00e9e de 20 heures. Comme la plupart des \u00eatres vivants, les souris fonctionnent normalement selon un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/about-chronobiology\/#CircadianRhythm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rythme circadien<\/a>, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire une horloge d&rsquo;environ 24 heures.<\/p>\n<p>Ce changement a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9 pour r\u00e9soudre une controverse dans le monde de la chronobiologie, \u00e0 savoir si le temps comptait autant que la dur\u00e9e du sommeil. Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 cette \u00e9tude, les chercheurs avaient du mal \u00e0 s\u00e9parer les deux facteurs, car les personnes qui vivent sur un rythme qui n&rsquo;est pas de 24 heures ne dorment g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas assez.<\/p>\n<h2>Le sommeil : Un temps pour gu\u00e9rir<\/h2>\n<p>Le sommeil n&rsquo;est pas seulement un moment de repos, c&rsquo;est aussi un moment o\u00f9 le corps se restaure. Dormir au mauvais moment peut affecter ces processus vitaux tout aussi gravement que la privation de sommeil. Les souris de cette \u00e9tude se r\u00e9veillaient beaucoup plus souvent et pr\u00e9sentaient \u00e9galement une activit\u00e9 anormale des ondes c\u00e9r\u00e9brales. Les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 surprenants : Ces souris \u00e9taient plus susceptibles de tomber malades lorsqu&rsquo;elles \u00e9taient expos\u00e9es \u00e0 une maladie et moins capables de lutter efficacement contre la maladie. En outre, elles avaient tendance \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter davantage de sympt\u00f4mes, car leur organisme r\u00e9agissait de mani\u00e8re excessive \u00e0 la maladie tout en la combattant moins efficacement.<\/p>\n<p>Les souris qui vivaient dans un laboratoire o\u00f9 la journ\u00e9e \u00e9tait plus courte b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaient toujours de la m\u00eame quantit\u00e9 de sommeil, de sorte que la privation de sommeil ne pouvait pas \u00eatre \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine de ces effets. L&rsquo;affaiblissement du syst\u00e8me immunitaire et les autres effets ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement caus\u00e9s par une mauvaise synchronisation du sommeil.<\/p>\n<h2>Quand les rythmes circadiens se d\u00e9r\u00e8glent<\/h2>\n<p>Si peu d&rsquo;\u00eatres humains conna\u00eetront les conditions dans lesquelles ces souris ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soumises, il est certain que de nombreuses personnes modernes peuvent perturber leur rythme circadien de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re. Vous est-il d\u00e9j\u00e0 arriv\u00e9 de vous coucher tard pour regarder une \u00e9mission ? Fait la grasse matin\u00e9e le week-end ? Pris l&rsquo;avion pour un autre fuseau horaire ? Ces actions et d&rsquo;autres qui modifient l&rsquo;heure \u00e0 laquelle nous dormons et nous r\u00e9veillons peuvent avoir un effet n\u00e9faste sur notre horloge interne. Nous risquons alors de souffrir davantage de maladies et d&rsquo;autres affections, tout comme si nous ne dormions pas suffisamment.<\/p>\n<p>Si vous essayez de mieux dormir pour am\u00e9liorer votre sant\u00e9, cette \u00e9tude peut vous apporter de nouvelles informations.
