Une nouvelle \u00e9tude en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">chronobiologie<\/a> publi\u00e9e r\u00e9cemment confirme ce lien tout en apportant un \u00e9clairage nouveau sur les processus cellulaires qui relient ces deux probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2>Cancer et ADN<\/h2>\n<p>Le cancer est intrins\u00e8quement une maladie de l&rsquo;ADN. Notre code g\u00e9n\u00e9tique contr\u00f4le la prolif\u00e9ration et la croissance des cellules. Les mutations de ce code permettent une croissance incontr\u00f4l\u00e9e et la perte de la fonction normale dans les cellules anormales. Lorsque les scientifiques ont d\u00e9couvert que les g\u00e8nes CLOCK et d&rsquo;autres g\u00e8nes li\u00e9s au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/about-chronobiology\/#CircadianRhythm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rythme circadien<\/a> contribuent \u00e0 programmer la croissance et la reproduction des cellules, ils ont imm\u00e9diatement soup\u00e7onn\u00e9 un lien avec le cancer. Ce lien a depuis \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9 par plusieurs \u00e9tudes. Cependant, on n&rsquo;en savait pas assez sur la relation entre le cancer et le rythme circadien pour utiliser ces nouvelles connaissances dans le traitement du cancer. Cette situation est en train de changer, car de nouvelles \u00e9tudes explorent le lien entre la chronobiologie et le cancer ainsi que d&rsquo;autres maladies mortelles.<\/p>\n<h2>PASD1 : La prot\u00e9ine \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine du cancer ?<\/h2>\n<p>Lorsque les g\u00e8nes sont \u00ab\u00a0activ\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb, ils produisent des prot\u00e9ines. Un g\u00e8ne mut\u00e9 cr\u00e9e des prot\u00e9ines anormales. PASD1 se trouve dans les cellules qui se divisent et se d\u00e9veloppent rapidement, notamment les cellules germinales, les cellules souches et les cellules canc\u00e9reuses. Bien qu&rsquo;elle ne soit pas pr\u00e9sente dans toutes les cellules canc\u00e9reuses, elle est en effet li\u00e9e \u00e0 de nombreux cancers courants tels que le m\u00e9lanome et le cancer du sein. PASD1 semble faire taire le rythme circadien dans les cellules qui poss\u00e8dent cette prot\u00e9ine, ce qui permet une croissance constante plut\u00f4t que programm\u00e9e. Les tumeurs et autres tumeurs canc\u00e9reuses peuvent ainsi se d\u00e9velopper beaucoup plus rapidement que les cellules normales.<\/p>\n<h2>De nouvelles approches pour le traitement du cancer<\/h2>\n<p>Cette nouvelle d\u00e9couverte offre une nouvelle voie de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/how-chronobiology-is-affecting-cancer-treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">traitement du cancer<\/a> pour les tumeurs qui expriment la prot\u00e9ine PASD1. En utilisant des m\u00e9dicaments qui interf\u00e8rent avec la production des prot\u00e9ines PASD1, les chercheurs ont pu r\u00e9tablir le rythme circadien. Cela a permis de ralentir consid\u00e9rablement la croissance des tumeurs. Bien que ce traitement ne soit pas un rem\u00e8de complet contre le cancer, il peut contribuer \u00e0 ralentir la croissance de la tumeur lorsqu&rsquo;il est utilis\u00e9 avec d&rsquo;autres traitements contre le cancer. Les chercheurs \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine de cette \u00e9tude soulignent qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;est pas sain de vivre en dehors de son cycle quotidien naturel, que l&rsquo;on soit un \u00eatre humain ou une simple cellule. Ces horloges internes sont essentielles \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 et au bon fonctionnement de l&rsquo;organisme.<\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs de l&rsquo;UC Santa Cruz esp\u00e8rent continuer \u00e0 \u00e9tudier les prot\u00e9ines produites dans les cellules canc\u00e9reuses et explorer comment ces prot\u00e9ines affectent le rythme circadien de ces cellules. Bon nombre des traitements modernes les plus efficaces contre le cancer sont bas\u00e9s sur l&rsquo;attaque de l&rsquo;expression de l&rsquo;ADN des cellules canc\u00e9reuses.
