L&rsquo;acide lipo\u00efque, \u00e9galement connu sous le nom d&rsquo;acide alpha lipo\u00efque ou ALA, est un antioxydant que l&rsquo;on trouve dans certains aliments et qui est produit naturellement par l&rsquo;organisme. Cependant, avec le vieillissement ou l&rsquo;apparition d&rsquo;une maladie, l&rsquo;organisme a besoin de plus d&rsquo;acide lipo\u00efque pour alimenter ses processus cellulaires, mais paradoxalement, il peut en produire moins. Il existe des preuves convaincantes que l&rsquo;acide lipo\u00efque aide \u00e0 stimuler la production d&rsquo;insuline dans de nombreux cas. Selon le Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, la biodisponibilit\u00e9, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire la quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;ALA \u00ab\u00a0libre\u00a0\u00bb r\u00e9ellement disponible pour le patient apr\u00e8s une prise orale, a \u00e9t\u00e9 estim\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 30 %. En outre, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les injections intraveineuses de doses \u00e9lev\u00e9es d&rsquo;acide lipo\u00efque contribuent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les douleurs d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ables, les picotements et les sensations de br\u00fblure provoqu\u00e9s par la neuropathie diab\u00e9tique, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire les l\u00e9sions nerveuses caus\u00e9es par le diab\u00e8te. Une \u00e9tude men\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole de m\u00e9decine de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 Jiaotong, \u00e0 Shanghai, en Chine, a conclu que 73 % des patients prenant de l&rsquo;ALA pr\u00e9sentaient une am\u00e9lioration significative des sympt\u00f4mes li\u00e9s au diab\u00e8te, contre moins de 19 % pour les patients recevant un placebo.<\/p>\n<h2>Autres utilisations possibles de l&rsquo;acide lipo\u00efque<\/h2>\n<p>L&rsquo;acide lipo\u00efque a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9 en tant que traitement possible pour toutes sortes de maladies, de l&rsquo;art\u00e9riopathie p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique \u00e0 l&#8217;empoisonnement par l&rsquo;amanite, ou champignon \u00ab\u00a0Ange destructeur\u00a0\u00bb, ainsi qu&rsquo;en tant que traitement sous forme de cr\u00e8me pour r\u00e9duire les rides. Toutefois, ces recherches n&rsquo;en sont qu&rsquo;\u00e0 leurs d\u00e9buts et aucune donn\u00e9e concluante n&rsquo;a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablie concernant l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 ou les dosages optimaux pour traiter des affections sp\u00e9cifiques. En raison de la raret\u00e9 des essais cliniques sur les femmes enceintes et les jeunes enfants, l&rsquo;utilisation de suppl\u00e9ments d&rsquo;ALA est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u00e9conseill\u00e9e dans ces groupes sans la supervision d&rsquo;un m\u00e9decin. L&rsquo;ALA peut \u00e9galement accro\u00eetre l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;autres m\u00e9dicaments pris pour traiter le diab\u00e8te, entra\u00eenant une hypoglyc\u00e9mie ou un faible taux de sucre dans le sang, ainsi qu&rsquo;une carence en thiamine, souvent observ\u00e9e chez les personnes souffrant de troubles de la thyro\u00efde ; il est donc important de consulter un m\u00e9decin avant d&rsquo;ajouter l&rsquo;ALA \u00e0 un traitement donn\u00e9 afin d&rsquo;\u00e9viter des effets secondaires involontaires.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 l&rsquo;absence de recherches concluantes sur l&rsquo;ALA en tant que traitement compl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 large spectre, de nombreuses personnes, tant dans la communaut\u00e9 m\u00e9dicale que dans la communaut\u00e9 non m\u00e9dicale, sont enthousiasm\u00e9es par son potentiel pour traiter les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle et au niveau cellulaire qui influencent les rythmes internes du corps humain.
