Para comprender mejor este v\u00ednculo, un equipo dirigido por investigadores de la Facultad de Salud y Desarrollo Humano de Penn State identific\u00f3 cuatro patrones distintos que caracterizan las pautas de sue\u00f1o de la mayor\u00eda de las personas. Estos patrones tambi\u00e9n nos dicen algo sobre la salud a largo plazo. Adem\u00e1s, ser considerado insomne durante un periodo de 10 a\u00f1os se asoci\u00f3 a una probabilidad significativamente mayor de sufrir problemas cr\u00f3nicos de salud, como enfermedades cardiovasculares, diabetes y depresi\u00f3n. Esto era especialmente cierto en el caso de los durmientes con insomnio y que dorm\u00edan la siesta. Seg\u00fan los expertos, es posible que el estudio MIDUS no represente a toda la poblaci\u00f3n, ya que se compone principalmente de adultos sanos, pero, no obstante, la mayor\u00eda de los participantes mostraban un comportamiento de sue\u00f1o sub\u00f3ptimo con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/55159\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">insomnio<\/a> o siestas.<\/p>\n<h2>Un sue\u00f1o saludable depende de varios factores<\/h2>\n<p>Estos resultados podr\u00edan sugerir que es muy dif\u00edcil cambiar nuestros h\u00e1bitos de sue\u00f1o, ya que la salud del sue\u00f1o est\u00e1 integrada en nuestro estilo de vida general. Tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda sugerir que la gente sigue sin ser consciente de la importancia de su sue\u00f1o y de c\u00f3mo adoptar comportamientos saludables. La identificaci\u00f3n de distintos patrones de sue\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n sugiere que estos programas de prevenci\u00f3n no deben ser generales, sino que pueden orientarse en funci\u00f3n de diversos factores, como el riesgo de padecer enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas y la vulnerabilidad socioecon\u00f3mica.<\/p>\n<p>El sue\u00f1o es un comportamiento cotidiano. Por tanto, si podemos mejorar el sue\u00f1o casi todos los d\u00edas, \u00bfqu\u00e9 resultados podemos ver al cabo de unos meses o incluso a\u00f1os?
