Suzanne Bertisch, de la Divisi\u00f3n de Trastornos del Sue\u00f1o y Circadianos del Hospital Brigham and Women&#8217;s de Boston, MA, puso en marcha un estudio pionero para establecer <a href=\"https:\/\/n.neurology.org\/content\/94\/5\/e489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">una relaci\u00f3n causal entre el sue\u00f1o deficiente y las migra\u00f1as<\/a>. Bertisch y sus colegas estudiaron a casi 100 sujetos, a los que pidieron que llevaran un diario del sue\u00f1o y que dejaran registrar sus ondas cerebrales por la noche. Tambi\u00e9n registraron cu\u00e1ndo sufr\u00edan migra\u00f1as.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando los cient\u00edficos recopilaron los datos, los resultados fueron sorprendentes. La baja calidad del sue\u00f1o e incluso <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/short-sleepers-1-percent-population-need-6-hours-sleep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">las horas de sue\u00f1o cortas<\/a> no estaban relacionadas con la migra\u00f1a. Se trata de una noticia importante para quienes padecen migra\u00f1as, porque todos los recursos m\u00e9dicos actuales entra\u00f1an graves riesgos y efectos secundarios.
