Una nueva investigaci\u00f3n sobre cronobiolog\u00eda sugiere que su ritmo circadiano puede ser, al menos en parte, el culpable.<\/p>\n<p>La lumbalgia es un problema com\u00fan que la mayor\u00eda de nosotros, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ninds.nih.gov\/disorders\/backpain\/detail_backpain.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alrededor de cuatro de cada cinco personas<\/a>, padecer\u00e1 en alg\u00fan momento de su vida. No s\u00f3lo es inc\u00f3modo, sino tambi\u00e9n costoso. La lumbalgia es la causa m\u00e1s frecuente de incapacidad laboral y requiere terapias costosas, como la cirug\u00eda de columna. La mayor\u00eda de la gente cree que este s\u00edndrome de dolor est\u00e1 causado por un uso excesivo y una mala ergonom\u00eda, pero parece que aqu\u00ed puede estar en juego una cuesti\u00f3n totalmente distinta: la desincronizaci\u00f3n del ritmo circadiano.<\/p>\n<h2>Enfermedad discal degenerativa: Un dolor en el cuello&#8230; y en la zona lumbar<\/h2>\n<p>Nuestra columna vertebral est\u00e1 formada por <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arthritis.org\/about-arthritis\/types\/degenerative-disc-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">v\u00e9rtebras \u00f3seas separadas por discos<\/a>, que est\u00e1n hechos de una sustancia gomosa que proporciona soporte, amortiguaci\u00f3n y flexibilidad. La reparaci\u00f3n del ADN, la reconstrucci\u00f3n de los tejidos y otras muchas actividades vitales est\u00e1n \u00abprogramadas\u00bb por los relojes internos, lo que garantiza que se produzcan en los momentos \u00f3ptimos. Sin embargo, parece que tener un reloj interno bien regulado es importante para prevenir la degeneraci\u00f3n discal y el consiguiente dolor lumbar que aqueja a tantas personas.<\/p>\n<h2>Citocinas y lumbalgia<\/h2>\n<p>Las citocinas son una <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC2785020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mol\u00e9cula inmunitaria responsable de la inflamaci\u00f3n<\/a> y el dolor que provoca. Liberadas en respuesta a un ataque inmunitario o a una lesi\u00f3n, estas mol\u00e9culas desempe\u00f1an un papel integral en las defensas de nuestro organismo, pero tambi\u00e9n pueden ser contraproducentes.
