Aunque esto no es lo normal para la mayor\u00eda de la poblaci\u00f3n, hay un peque\u00f1o grupo de personas en las que esto es una realidad.<\/p>\n<p>Es un hecho generalmente aceptado que la persona media necesita dormir unas ocho horas cada noche para que su cuerpo funcione correctamente. Quienes no duermen las ocho horas recomendadas suelen sufrir efectos negativos como somnolencia, dolores de cabeza persistentes y fatiga. Sin embargo, hay algunas personas que pueden seguir adelante con s\u00f3lo entre cuatro y seis horas por noche. Los profesionales m\u00e9dicos clasifican a estas personas como \u00ab<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sleepeducation.org\/sleep-disorders-by-category\/insomnias\/short-sleeper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">durmientes cortos<\/a>\u00ab.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es inusual?<\/h2>\n<p>Los durmientes cortos son distintos de los que se privan de sue\u00f1o a sabiendas. En el ajetreado d\u00eda a d\u00eda de la vida moderna, la mayor\u00eda de la gente aprende a arregl\u00e1rselas con s\u00f3lo seis o siete horas de sue\u00f1o. La cronobiolog\u00eda estudia los efectos de los ciclos naturales del d\u00eda y la noche en los ritmos y ciclos del cuerpo humano.
