Pues puede que sea la alteraci\u00f3n del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/about-chronobiology\/#CircadianRhythm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ritmo circadiano<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Los investigadores han descubierto que, con el estilo de vida actual, en el que se trabaja muchas horas dentro de los edificios y se vuelve a casa para sentarse frente al televisor, la falta de acceso a la luz natural provoca efectos adversos en el organismo, como alteraciones en los patrones de sue\u00f1o, estr\u00e9s, cambios de humor y disminuci\u00f3n de la inmunidad. Los periodos prolongados de interrupci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o pueden acarrear consecuencias m\u00e1s graves, como un aumento de los dep\u00f3sitos de placa en el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/the-science-of-chronobiology-sheds-light-on-treatments-for-sleeping-disorders-in-alzheimers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alzheimer<\/a>, anomal\u00edas en las c\u00e9lulas pancre\u00e1ticas que dificultan la capacidad del organismo para liberar insulina y una disminuci\u00f3n de las habilidades motoras en el Parkinson.<\/p>\n<h2>El proyecto Photon<\/h2>\n<p>Pero hay una empresa que quiere cambiar nuestra existencia lunar: Photon<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thephotonspace.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Project Ltd.<\/a>(Proyecto Fot\u00f3n). Esta empresa acaba de poner en marcha el Proyecto Photon, iniciado por especialistas en ingenier\u00eda del vidrio de Cantifix, Ltd., con el fin de estudiar los efectos de la luz en los seres humanos. La cronobiolog\u00eda es un campo interdisciplinar que incorpora t\u00e9cnicas y puntos de vista de la bot\u00e1nica, la biolog\u00eda y la gen\u00e9tica, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>La visi\u00f3n tradicional es que el cuerpo tiene un reloj en una parte del cerebro llamada n\u00facleo supraquiasm\u00e1tico, o SCN. Cuando la luz incide en la retina, env\u00eda una se\u00f1al al SCN para indicar al cuerpo si es de d\u00eda o de noche. A su vez, el SCN indicar\u00eda al resto del cuerpo qu\u00e9 hora es. Pero estudios recientes han demostrado que, aunque existe un reloj maestro en el cerebro, todas las c\u00e9lulas de nuestro cuerpo tienen un reloj molecular que controla sus funciones e interacciones.
