De nuv\u00e6rende retningslinjer for s\u00f8vn anbefaler, at man ikke bruger sk\u00e6rme en time eller to f\u00f8r sengetid. Men forskerne fandt ud af, at sk\u00e6rmbrug i de to timer f\u00f8r sengetid havde ringe effekt p\u00e5 de unges s\u00f8vn, mens sk\u00e6rmbrug efter sengetid skabte problemer. Hovedforfatteren til unders\u00f8gelsen, Dr. Bradley Brosnan fra Edgar Diabetes and Obesity Research Centre, forklarer, at brug af sk\u00e6rme er en integreret del af unges <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/syncing-class-times-to-circadian-rhythms-could-improve-school-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00f8vnm\u00f8nstre<\/a>, og at retningslinjerne for s\u00f8vn skal revurderes, s\u00e5 de passer bedre til det moderne liv.<\/p>\n<h2>Brug af sk\u00e6rm efter sengetid er afg\u00f8rende<\/h2>\n<p>I unders\u00f8gelsen, der blev offentliggjort i tidsskriftet <em>JAMA Pediatrics<\/em>, bar 85 unge i alderen 11 til 14 \u00e5r et kropskamera p\u00e5 brystet i en uge, tre timer f\u00f8r sengetid, indtil de gik i seng. Ud over kropskameraet, som registrerede, hvorn\u00e5r, hvad og hvordan de brugte deres sk\u00e6rme, blev et andet infrar\u00f8dt kamera placeret i deres sovev\u00e6relser for at registrere deres sk\u00e6rmtid i sengen. De bar ogs\u00e5 en actigraph, en enhed p\u00e5 st\u00f8rrelse med et ur, der m\u00e5ler s\u00f8vn. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-64039 size-medium\" title=\"wer\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"wer\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.chronobiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/wer.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>If\u00f8lge Brosnan blev det hurtigt klart, at teenagerne brugte en stor del af deres sk\u00e6rmtid i sengen.<\/p>\n<p>Forskerne fandt ud af, at 99 procent af deltagerne brugte sk\u00e6rme i de to timer f\u00f8r sengetid, mere end halvdelen brugte sk\u00e6rme, n\u00e5r de var g\u00e5et i seng, og en tredjedel brugte dem, efter at de f\u00f8rst havde fors\u00f8gt at falde i s\u00f8vn. De mest interessante resultater var, at denne sk\u00e6rmtid f\u00f8r sengetid havde ringe effekt p\u00e5 s\u00f8vnen i l\u00f8bet af natten. Men brug af sk\u00e6rm efter sengetid p\u00e5virkede s\u00f8vnen &#8211; det forhindrede teenagerne i at falde i s\u00f8vn i cirka en halv time og reducerede s\u00f8vnens varighed om natten.<\/p>\n<p>Det gjaldt is\u00e6r for interaktive sk\u00e6rmaktiviteter som spil og multitasking, dvs. brug af flere enheder p\u00e5 samme tid, f.eks. at se en film p\u00e5 Netflix p\u00e5 en b\u00e6rbar computer og spille Xbox p\u00e5 en spilleenhed. &#8220;Hver ekstra 10 minutters sk\u00e6rmaktivitet af denne type reducerede <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/sleep-timing-vs-sleep-length-which-matters-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00f8vnvarigheden<\/a> om natten med n\u00e6sten samme m\u00e6ngde.<\/p>\n<p>Resultaterne tyder p\u00e5, at sk\u00e6rmtidens indvirkning p\u00e5 s\u00f8vnen prim\u00e6rt sker gennem en tidsm\u00e6ssig forskydning, der forsinker s\u00f8vnens indtr\u00e6den, snarere end direkte effekter af bl\u00e5t lys eller interaktivt engagement, da vi ikke fandt nogen sammenh\u00e6ng med s\u00f8vnlatens og v\u00e5genhed i s\u00f8vnperioden. Forskernes m\u00e5l var at vurdere den prospektive sammenh\u00e6ng mellem regelm\u00e6ssig brug af mobiltelefon og forekomsten af <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/examining-the-relationship-between-insomnia-and-heart-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hjerte-kar-sygdomme<\/a> og at unders\u00f8ge de formidlende effekter af <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/sleep-changes-during-pregnancy-linked-to-depression-anxiety\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00f8vn og mental sundhed.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Forskerne fandt, at regelm\u00e6ssige mobiltelefonbrugere havde en markant h\u00f8jere risiko for hjerte-kar-sygdomme sammenlignet med uregelm\u00e6ssige brugere. Desuden kan kronisk uds\u00e6ttelse for RF-EMF-str\u00e5ling fra mobiltelefoner f\u00f8re til oxidativ stress og inflammatoriske reaktioner. Derfor kan eksponering for RF-EMF-str\u00e5ling fra mobiltelefoner i kombination med rygning og diabetes have en synergistisk effekt, der \u00f8ger risikoen for hjerte-kar-sygdomme.
