Den nye <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-024-51077-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unders\u00f8gelse<\/a> blev offentliggjort i <em>Nature Communications <\/em> <em>den<\/em> <em>11.<\/em> <em>august<\/em>2024.<\/p>\n<p>Forskerne under ledelse af Supriya Srinivasan, Scripps Research Professor of Neuroscience, ph.d., hovedforfatter<em> til <\/em>den nye unders\u00f8gelse, har for f\u00f8rste gang fundet ud af, at faste overf\u00f8rer information til hjernen, der g\u00e5r ud over ren kaloriemangel<em>.<\/em> Disse resultater f\u00e5r dem til at spekulere p\u00e5, om der er molekyler, der produceres i tarmene hos andre dyr, herunder pattedyr, som forklarer nogle af de sundhedsm\u00e6ssige virkninger, der er forbundet med faste.<\/p>\n<h2>Insulinmolekyle produceret af tarmceller p\u00e5virker fedtmetabolismen via hjernen<\/h2>\n<p>Forskere har l\u00e6nge vidst, at hjernen kontrollerer produktionen og nedbrydningen af fedt hos mennesker, andre pattedyr og modelorganismer som <em>C. elegans<\/em>. I 2017 identificerede Srinivasans gruppe FLP-7, et hjernehormon, der stimulerer fedtforbr\u00e6ndingen i nematodens tarm. Men <em>C. elegans <\/em>har ingen sensoriske nerver i <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/research-alert-meal-timing-lowers-blood-pressure-via-the-gut-microbiome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tarmen<\/a>, s\u00e5 forskerne k\u00e6mpede med at afkode den omvendte kommunikationsvej: Hvordan signalerer tarmen til hjernen? Hos mennesker er insulin prim\u00e6rt kendt som det hormon, der produceres af bugspytkirtlen, og som kontrollerer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/insomnia-boosts-diabetes-risk-raises-blood-sugar-levels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blodsukkerniveauet<\/a>. Men dette insulinmolekyle blev i stedet produceret af tarmceller og havde ogs\u00e5 en effekt p\u00e5 fedtstofskiftet via hjernen. Da forskerne opdagede, at det var insulin, t\u00e6nkte de, at det var et paradoks.<br \/>\nInsulin er s\u00e5 velunders\u00f8gt hos pattedyr, og der var ingen fortilf\u00e6lde af, at et insulinmolekyle spillede denne rolle.<\/p>\n<p>Men da gruppen unders\u00f8gte, hvordan INS-7 p\u00e5virkede de FLP-7-producerende hjerneceller, fandt de ud af, at det ikke aktiverede insulinreceptorerne &#8211; som alle tidligere opdagede insulinmolekyler &#8211; men blokerede insulinreceptoren. Denne blokering satte til geng\u00e6ld gang i en kaskade af andre molekyl\u00e6re begivenheder, som til sidst fik hjernecellerne til at holde op med at producere FLP-7. If\u00f8lge Srinivasan er INS-7 dybest set et signal fra tarmen, som fort\u00e6ller hjernen, at den ikke skal forbr\u00e6nde flere fedtdepoter i \u00f8jeblikket, fordi der ikke tilf\u00f8res mad.<\/p>\n<h2>Signaler mellem tarm og hjerne styrer stofskiftet<\/h2>\n<p>Unders\u00f8gelser har allerede vist, at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronobiology.com\/chrononutrition\/the-benefits-of-fasting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fasteperioder<\/a> kan p\u00e5virke kroppen p\u00e5 forskellige m\u00e5der, men mekanismerne bag disse \u00e6ndringer har tidligere v\u00e6ret uklare. Den nye unders\u00f8gelse peger p\u00e5 en m\u00e5de, hvorp\u00e5 en tom tarm kan signalere til hjernen, hvilket potentielt kan f\u00f8re til en r\u00e6kke sundhedseffekter ud over fedt. De nye resultater, siger Srinivasan, hj\u00e6lper med at forklare, hvordan hjernen og ford\u00f8jelsessystemet kommunikerer i begge retninger for at kontrollere stofskiftet som reaktion p\u00e5 tilg\u00e6ngeligheden af mad.
